Our Mission, Vision & Core Objectives
Pearl Foundation: A Pro-People Agency
Who We Are
Pearl Foundation is a group of scholars with the intention of helping to contribute to building a culture that promotes, protects, and provides social-economic rights by the people themselves.
We are a pro-people agency centered on educating, empowering, and providing a pathway to better rights and development in a holistic way - taking into account the whole person, satisfying physical, intellectual, moral, and financial needs.
Our Mission
To promote, advocate, and provide an education system that affirms the value of:
- Equitable financial creation and skills diversity from young age (Primary 5 to University)
- Holistic approach to education and training
- Creative confrontation with the world before or after school
- Power and confidence to create jobs or find jobs
Our Vision
A society with increased number of youth and adults with:
- Relevant, transformational, transferable skills
- Enhanced equitable finance accessibility without requiring collateral securities and interest rates
- STEMACFEP skills: Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, Agriculture, Computing, Financial Literacy Management, Environmental Protection
- Vocational skills diversity for improved workmanship, employment creation, and entrepreneurship
This contributes towards fulfilling UN Sustainable Development Goals 4.4 and 1
Our Core Objectives
1. Enhancing Innovation & Enterprise
Creativity, Competitiveness, Innovation, Invention, and Enterprise Development in Uganda's education system from Primary to University.
2. Skills Diversity from Young Age
Directing scholars and Ugandans into creative confrontation with the world after school with power and confidence to create jobs and fight unemployment through skills diversity from Primary 5 to University.
3. Community Integration & Finance
Encouraging Ugandans to integrate into nation-building groups with group funds, make micro loans, extend water to gardens and farms to enable continuous crop and animal production amidst drought - fighting famine, poverty, and unemployment.
Our Approach
We employ a rights-based approach and Integrated Induced Asset Community Development Models by building and increasing people's capacities to take active roles in promoting and protecting their rights and development sustainability.
We work this way because we recognize that even the best tactics to end poverty will fail if the education system denies people skills and finance for job creation and the voice, skills, and power in shaping solutions to the problems they experience.
Guided By
- National Development Plan (NDP I & II)
- Uganda Vision 2040
- Sustainable Development Goals 1 & 4 (specifically 4.4)
Our Goal by 2030-2040
Substantially increase the number of youth and adults who have relevant skills, including technical and vocational skills, for employment, decent jobs, and entrepreneurship to contribute to reduction of the high rates of unemployment which stands at 80% today.
We Are Inclusive
We are not limited to particular geographical area, age, tribe, religion, sex, sex orientation, culture, or creed.
