A Right to Thrive Program

A Right to thrive describes the Self-Help Group (SHG) policy as the foundation of community empowerment at Pearl. It mobilizes members to save collectively and access small-scale financial support.

Key Features:

  • Collective savings mobilization
  • Small-scale financial support access
  • Community empowerment foundation
  • Savings culture promotion
  • Financial inclusion

Interconnection: Funds accumulated through this program are channeled into other Pearl initiatives, particularly the Business Support Program, which uses these resources to empower entrepreneurs and small business owners.

In addition, this program supports the Loan Department (Pearl Renaissance Fund) by identifying and linking eligible low-income earners to affordable loans. The SHG model therefore promotes both savings culture and financial inclusion, serving as a springboard for other economic empowerment activities.
